allanh mentioned today that he got to eat at the Pann's restaurant, an Inglewood institution since 1958 in that it's one of the few, original Googie Coffee shops still left in LA, if not the country as so many have been razed in the past 30 years. It sits on a triangle bit of land that is a cross hairs point with La Tigera, and La Cienega Blvd's. ( Read more... )

Another beautiful day out there, we hit 77 or 78F, it's now at 76 and just as sunny as it was all day.

On my way into work, I discovered that my windshield was still not very clean. I'd spent a few moments yesterday, after the car had been sitting in the sun, getting quite warm so my cleaning the inside - and the outside was partially successful. ( Read more... )

Finally... I now have an actual title for a CD project I'd begun back in late Dec of 2009 by writing down the tracks to put on said CD project.

If you recall in posts of that time period, the objective were some tracks I'd captured onto reel to reel around 1980 or 81 or so via the radio, some others I'd caught on cassette back in 1978-79 or so, ( Read more... )
